FAMILY LIVE ARTS CULTURAL SERIES
Join Us Saturday, February 21st 5:30- 7PM Music * Dance * Crafts * Food Bring the whole family to enjoy live music and dances highlighting different regions of Colombia, performed by Colombia Mi Corazon es Tuyo, a local folkloric, intergenerational and artistic dance group. Sample tasty Colombian treats and learn about the traditions, customs and culture of this beautiful country through hands-on activities and crafts. This event is geared toward families with children 2-12 years old. It is pay-what-you-wish with a suggested donation of $25 per family/$5 per person. Please RSVP for this event below. We know how important it is to teach our children about gratitude from an early age, for them to learn and understand what it means. Research shows it helps them feel good about showing kindness and caring to others, being empathetic builds social and emotional learning, self-esteem and expression in just saying ‘thank you’ for the ways others give to us. This simple song is great to sing all year long but especially during this holiday season when kids are talking about it at school and home.

Kids Care About Turtles
"Turtle My Friend" is about the beauty of these ancient creatures in their natural habitat and how they follow the light of the stars to find their way to the ocean after being born. "Turtle My Friend" raises awareness of how light pollution is impacting baby turtles survival. The video is being used for educational outreach to youth on their mobile trailer. Proceeds from downloads of the song go to Save A Turtle of the Florida Keys (SAT), a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of sea turtles.
