I was honored that my dear friend, Kuang Yu Fong, from our days as students at NYU, invited me to join the team to teach children in a innovative camp outside Nanjing, China this summer. "Hello to our Friends Around the World" © by Allison DeSalvo WOS went global when the children in our summer camp sang two of my original songs in English. They learned some simple signing to go with them, and performed at the final presentation for their parents on the last day. This 'hello' song they sang to start the program. Two children begin by translating the song in Chinese. |

"Grateful In Love" © by Allison DeSalvo What a joy it was to share these songs with the kids and see them sing it with such enthusiasm to 'thank' their parents. This song concluded our program. Here again two kids begin by translating. I wanted to be out of the video but they keep telling me to get back in and sing a long. We used my basic recording as a background accompaniment for both songs. They did a great job! |
